Lloyd W. Schiemann

Lloyd W. Schiemann, age 74, of the Chicagoland area, Illinois, was called by the Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Laura Schramm Schiemann; cherished children, Brian (Heidi) Schiemann, Samantha Castaneda, Rita (Fred) Reyes, and Jeanne (Scott) Fabrie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Schiemann Sr. and Helen J. Schiemann ( nee Salo); 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Lloyd was a proud graduate of Concordia University of Wisconsin. He dedicated many years of hard work throughout his career, including 10 years with AFLAC, followed by Kropp Equipment, and earlier years with Safety-Kleen. Lloyd was known for his strong work ethic and the lasting relationships he built along the way.

A devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs, Lloyd had a deep love for the game and cherished his legendary connection as a great friend of Legendary Ernie Banks, “Mr. Cub.” He enjoyed sharing stories, laughter, and camaraderie with those around him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN, with a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lloyd’s honor to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Northwest Indiana @ nwiparkinson.org

Lloyd will be truly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
