Louis Joseph Spear, Jr.

age 64, of Hammond, IN, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021. He is survived by his siblings: sisters Patricia (Roy) Pitcher and Mary Spear, and brother Daniel Spear; and niece Melissa Spear. Preceded in death by his parents, Louis Joseph Spear, Sr. and Bernice Spear; and beloved companion dog Duke.

Louis was a lifelong Hammond resident and attended Lafayette School. He enjoyed history and was a World War II enthusiast. He was also fond of shopping at flea markets, playing sports, and fishing. Louis loved animals, Star Trek, and he never turned down a game of chess.

A Memorial Service commemorating Louis's life will be held at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM with a 5:30 PM service.
