LOUISE B. MITCHELL

age 89, of Hammond, passed away at the William J. Riley Residence on Sunday, August 23, 2015, surrounded by her family. Louise is survived by her children: Kathleen Mitchell, Eileen (David) Klen and Daniel (Norma) Mitchell; grandchildren: Daniel Patrick and Katelyn Louise Klen, Daniel and Connor Mitchell; siblings Helen (George) Johnson and Norman (Mary) Bergeron; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Daniel and brother Louis (late Nina) Bergeron.

Louise was born on September 28, 1925 in Chenal, Pointe Coupee Parish, LA and was raised in Calumet City, IL. She graduated from T.F North class of 1942 and on June 11, 1949 Louise married Daniel P. Mitchell Jr. Louise was a longtime member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Louise was a kind and generous spirit to all. She cherished the time spent with her loving family, especially her four grandchildren. The family would like to express a special thank you to Beth W. and Dan P. at Riley House for their heartfelt care.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 with a 10:00 AM Mass DIRECTLY at St. John Bosco Catholic Church 7113 Columbia Ave Hammond with Fr. Richard Orlinski officiating. Louise will lie in state at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service. At rest Holy Cross Cemetery Calumet City, IL. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 3:00-9:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave Schererville.
