LUCILLE A. SOLAN

age 79, of Hammond, passed away Friday January 24, 2013. Lucille is survived by her children Cindy (Robb) and David; grandchildren Trevor and Maranda; sisters: Ann (late Doug) Crook, Dolores (Red) Fulte, Pat (late Bob) Farkas and Carol (Wayne) Simmons; sister in law Chris (late Lee) Sajdyk; brother in law Richard (Verna) Solan; aunts Jo (late Mickey) Wydra and Lil (John) Zoller; many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Preceded in death by her husband Peter, parents Casimer and Pauline Sajdyk, in laws Peter Sr. and Anna Solan, brothers Casimer Jr. and Walter Sajdyk, brother in law Michael Solan, niece Nicky Solan and nephew Michael Solan Jr.

A funeral mass will be held on
Friday January 31, 2014 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at St. John Bosco Catholic Church 7113 Columbia Ave Hammond with Fr. Edward Moszur officiating. Lucille will lie in state at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday January 30, 2014 from 2:00-7:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville.

Lucille was a lifelong area resident, a graduate of Hammond Tech High School and years later a member of the Tech Booster Club. She was the owner of Solan's Greenhouse and had previously worked for American General. Lucille was a kind and caring person who adored her grandkids, loved her family and friends, and was an awesome cook. She will be greatly missed by all. A special thank you to all the nurses, aids, and staff at Hartsfield Village who took such wonderful care of Lucy.
