Luis Del Rio age 72, of East Chicago, IN passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022.  He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maria Rita Del Rio, children; Rafael Del Rio, Laura Venegas and Veronica Del Rio; grandchildren, Josh, Alexa, Anjelina, Marco, Alan, Kassandra, Alejandro and Emily; great granddaughter, Milana; sister, Beatriz (late, Roberto) Certa, brothers, Alfonso (Lourdes)Del Rio, Javier (Rosa) Del Rio and Jesus (Blanca)Del Rio. Preceded in death by his son, Marco A. Del Rio.

Luis loved to spend time with his family. He had a passion for Mariachi music and could sit and listen to it for hours. He will be deeply missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 3510 Deodor Street, East Chicago, IN 46312. Luis will lie in state from 9AM until the time of mass at 10AM.  Friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN.
