Luis A. Roman

Age 74, of East Chicago, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 14, 2023. He is survived by his siblings: Jose E. Roman, David Rodriguez, and Juana Rodriguez; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Gregory Alcamona-Roman and Enriqueta Roman; and siblings: Carmen Brito, Anna Roman, and Eliseo Rodriguez.

Luis was a proud interior painter and worked at US Steel. He adored drawing and loved Elvis. He had an incredible sense of humor and was known in his family as the comedian.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 7109 Calumet Ave., HAMMOND, IN. A Service Celebrating Luis' Life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 19, at 11:00 AM with Fr. Jeffrey D. Burton officiating. Burial to follow at St. John/St. Joseph Cemetery.
