Magdalene H. Yonke (Bodie)

Madge was born to Anna (Nagy) and Louis Bodie in Oxford, New Jersey. The family moved to Indiana when she was 3 ½ years old and she has resided in Hammond ever since. She attended the Hammond Public School system graduating from Hammond High School. She passed away on March 21, 2017 at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene V. Yonke and her parents Anna and Louis Bodie as well as one sister and two brothers. She is survived by one son, Eugene R. (Barbara) Yonke, one daughter Karen L. (Donald) Domsich, grandchildren Jennifer R. and Brian P. Domsich, sister-in-law Flora Bodie  and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Yonke was a long time employee of Rand McNally and Company retiring in 1981. She loved reading and working in her yard. As per her request funeral arrangements were private, followed by cremation and entrusted to Solan Pruzin Funeral Home. A private Mass was held at St. John Bosco Church celebrating her life.  A special thank you to nieces Patrice and Paula.
