Magdaleno N. Sanchez, de 75 años, residente de Elgin, Illinois, falleció pacíficamente el martes 6 de octubre de 2026.

Magdaleno nació el 19 de noviembre de 1950 en El Pino, Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, México. Vivió y trabajó en Hammond, Indiana, antes de establecerse posteriormente en Elgin, Illinois.

Magdaleno fue un hombre dedicado a su familia, que atesoraba el tiempo que compartía con sus familiares y amigos. Disfrutaba especialmente de las carreras de caballos y de escuchar su música favorita. Su mayor alegría era estar rodeado de las personas que amaba y crear recuerdos junto a ellas.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Hermelinda Chaidez; sus queridos hijos, Adan Nevarez, Ruperto Nevarez y Jose Luiz Nevarez; y sus preciados nietos, Maria De Los Angeles Nevarez, Angel Adan Nevarez, Allan Atzel Nevarez, Vivianne Manyelin Molinares, Ximena Nereyda Nevarez, Claudia Neftaly Nevarez, Luis Uriel Nevarez y Emma Sophia Nevarez.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el lunes 12 de octubre de 2026, en Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, ubicado en 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, Indiana, de 4:00PM - 8:00PM

La Misa Funeral se celebrará el martes 13 de octubre de 2026, a las 10:00 AM., directamente en St. John Bosco Catholic Church, ubicada en 7113 Columbia Ave., Hammond, Indiana, y será oficiada por el Padre Ivan Alatorre. Magdaleno estará presente en la iglesia desde las 9:30 AM hasta la hora de la ceremonia. Los servicios concluirán en la iglesia.

Magdaleno N. Sanchez, age 75, of Elgin, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

Magdaleno was born on November 19, 1950, in El Pino, Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico. He lived and worked in Hammond, Indiana, before later making his home in Elgin, Illinois.

Magdaleno was a devoted family man who cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed horse racing and listening to his favorite music. His greatest joy was being surrounded by the people he loved and creating memories with them.

He is survived by his loving wife, Hermelinda Chaidez; loving children: Adan Nevarez, Ruperto Nevarez, and Jose Luiz Nevarez; precious grandchildren: Maria De Los Angeles Nevarez, Angel Adan Nevarez, Allan Atzel Nevarez, and Vivianne Manyelin Molinares, Ximena Nereyda Nevarez, Claudia Neftaly Nevarez, Luis Uriel Nevarez, and Emma Sophia Nevarez.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2026, at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN from 4:00PM - 8:00PM.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, directly at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 7113 Columbia Ave, Hammond IN with Fr. Ivan Alatorre officiating. Magdaleno will lie in state at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service. Services conclude at the church.
