In Loving Memory of Marcos Solis Jr.
January 16, 1958 – March 30, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Marcos Solis Jr., who left us on March 30, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. For the past five years, Marcos fought with remarkable strength, resilience, and grace. His unwavering determination will always be remembered.
Marcos was preceded in death by his cherished mother-in-law Maria, father-in-law Pedro, brothers Rafael, Antonio, and Peter, as well as his nephews Victor, Tony, Paul-Anthony, and his grandson Hosea, who now welcomes him with open arms in Heaven.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 35 years, Gloria; his loving mother, Marta; his sisters, Amelia (Nelson), Leticia (Marcus); his sons, Javier (Ashley) and Joshua; his daughters, Cecilia (Peter), Michelle, Irene (Jose), and Tatianna (Robert); his aunts, Alicia and Iris (Anthony); his brothers-in-law Paul (Maria), David (Angie), Richard, Paul B.; his sisters-in-law Virginia and Christine; his nephews Mario, John (Boo), Michael, Daniel, David Jr., Jacob, Richard Jr., and Eric; his nieces Natalia, Christi-Ann (Felipe), Jennifer (Jake), and Julia (John); and his best friend, Anderson Broden (News), along with countless other friends and loved ones.
Marcos was the proud grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. His family will forever remember his love, laughter, and the memories they shared. "We loved you every day, and now we will miss you every day."
Marcos had a passion for cooking, fishing, and, most of all, spending time with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, family, and friends. His presence at family gatherings always brought warmth and joy.
A dedicated crane operator for 46 years with Cleveland-Cliffs / Inland Steel, Marcos forged lifelong friendships with his coworkers, who described him as kind, caring, supportive, and always ready with a humorous and high-spirited personality.
Though Marcos may no longer be with us in person, his spirit and legacy will live on in our hearts and through the many stories we will continue to share.
