MARENIS J. KANSFIELD JR.

age 77, of Hessville, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 surrounded by family. Marenis is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Shirley Jean nee Martin; children: Joseph (Margie) Einsele, Marenis (Karen) Kansfield III, Christopher (Kendra) Kansfield, Matthew (Dorothy) Kansfield and Sheryll Jeanette Blane nee Kansfield; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; niece Tracy (Greg) Schweir; nephew Nick Kansfield; sister in law Sharon Kansfield. Preceded in death by his parents Marenis and Nellie, brother Wayne Kansfield.

Marenis proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force in the Strategic Air Command and was employed as an Operating Engineer with Local #150 for 50 years. He was a graduate of Hammond Tech class of '57 and a lifetime member of the NRA. Marenis was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed. Donations in his honor may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
