MARIAN J. BARCZAK

age 74, of Highland, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014. Born November 3, 1940 in Poland, he was the son of the late John and Stefania Barczak. Marian is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Sophie (nee Bogacz); daughter Michelle (Jonathan) Ostrom; grandsons Gavin and Landen Ostrom; brother Stanley (Halina) Barczak; many dear nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and extended family in Poland. Waiting to greet him in Heaven are his parents, his brother Szczepan Barczak and sister Zofia Broda.

Marian worked for Industrial Tool & MFG in Hammond as a machinist for 32 years. He was a loving husband, caring Tata and a doting Dziadziu. Marian was an animal lover and had many beloved pets. He was a devoted hard-working man who had a true passion for family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville with Fr. Bronislaw Socha officiating. At rest Chapel Lawn Cemetery Schererville. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service.
