Marian F. Popyk (nee Bazar)

Age 93 of Cedar Lake formerly of Hammond passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017. She is survived by 3 children; John F. (Shirley) Popyk, Elaine (Late Nicholas) Stamate, Diana (Paul) Douglas; 8 Grandchildren: John, Kristina, Michael, Michele, Dan, Robert, Charles, Jeanette; 13 great grandchildren. Daughter in law Sandy (Late LeRoy) Popyk; brother in law Ray (Loretta) Popyk; sister in law Helen (Nick) Kikalos. Preceded in death by her husband John P. Popyk, 2 brothers, 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 10:00 AM. DIRECTLY AT the Arch Angel Pro Cathedral of St. Michael Ukrainian Orthodox Church 7035 Columbia Ave. Hammond, IN. With Fr. Raymond Sundland officiating at rest Elmwood Cemetery. Marian will lie in state at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home 14 Kennedy Ave. Schererville, IN (corner Main and Kennedy) 6:30 PM Parastas.

Marian was a long time member of the UNA #452, member of St. Michael Ukrainian Orthodox Church Sisterhood, she was also a member of the Cedar Lake Organ Club.
