Marie B. Wisner (nee Baran)

Age 93 of Schererville, IN passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023. She is survived by her loving son, Rick Wisner and daughter-in-law, Jill Wisner. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo; son, Michael; and siblings.

Marie embraced life with an adventurous spirit. Among many other countries, she traversed the globe to Japan, Australia, Morocco, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Poland. Her zest for travel reflected her love for diverse cultures and new experiences.

She found fulfillment in her career in administration with Roadway Express. As a member of the Teamsters Union, Marie was passionate about workers' rights and took pride in being an integral part of the Teamsters Union.

She was known to fill her backyard with feline companions and would lovingly feed them and provide shelter. Her affinity for nature was evident in her love for hiking, and Marie found solace in the beauty of the outdoors.

Her engaging intellect shone through her fervent discussions about politics, demonstrating her commitment to staying informed and engaged with the world around her. Marie's admirable life touched the hearts of many, leaving behind a legacy of adventure, compassion, and dedication.
