Marques Taron Barksdale

Marques Taron Barksdale, age 31, of Hammond, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Marques is survived by his mother, Carolyn Barksdale; father, Vernon Foster; daughter Leah Roman; son, Marques Barksdale; brother Damon Foster; grandmother Willie Mae Barksdale; grandmother Bobbie Foster; two aunts; one uncle; one niece, and many cousins. Preceded in death by his grandfather, Eugene Barksdale.

Marques loved basketball, football, and animals. He also enjoyed music and family functions. He worked for Popeye's for four years and also worked for Marinoware for four years and was an operator there for three years.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 7109 Calumet Ave, Hammond, IN. A service commemorating Marques' life will be held at 3:00 PM with Pastor Deborah Marcus officiating. Services conclude at the funeral home.
