MARY ELIZABETH RAK

age 95, of Hammond, formerly Tennessee, passed away Sunday July 20, 2014. Mary is survived by her daughters Jean (Roger) Horton, of Lexington, GA; Sue (Rachael) Rak, of Hammond; sons: Noel Rak; Guy (Joann) Rak, of Hammond; Joel Rak, of Chicago; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers Mac and Mark Wiggins, of TN; longtime friend Maria Mejaski; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her children: Michael, Dorrell and Bruce Rak; sisters: Faye, Pearl and Ruth; boyfriend Ted Revers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home 7109 Calumet Ave Hammond. At rest Holy Cross Cemetery Calumet City, IL. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday July 23, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mary was a longtime area resident. She enjoyed embroidery and loved to garden. Mary loved to travel and was an avid sports fan; especially the Bears, Cubs and Notre Dame. Her favorite snack was marshmallow Peeps and Pepsi. Mary will be dearly missed by her loving family.
