Mary Tonette Tinkel (nee Kryzanowski)

July 18, 1954 – June 2, 2021

Mary Tinkel, age 66, of Hammond, formerly of Winchester, IN, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth; two sons, Jason (Angie) and Jeremy (Lorna); one daughter, Eadie Walden; eleven grandchildren, Abigail, Dustin, Matthew, Noah, Sally, Isaac, Brittany, Allen, Kassandra, Kara, and Kendra; brother, Casimir "Casey" (Nancy) Kryzanowski; sister, Frances (James Dean) Young; aunt, Norma D. Preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Kryzanowski and Ruby Kryzanowski (nee Behrens); son, Dustin Walden; infant brother Anthony John Kryzanowski, Jr.; sister, Ruby Ann (still living, Joe Erb) Moore; and her precious pets: dog Buddy, and horse Voodoo.

Mary was a 1972 graduate of Lake Central High School and was involved with the Spanish Club and the marching band where she played the clarinet. She later retired from Gerresheimer Glass. Mary loved her grandchildren, family traditions, Christmas cookies, lamb cake, Halloween, crochet, coloring, weed pulling, Court TV, and John Wayne. She also loved attending the Lake County Fair and will be remembered for always helping everyone.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 7109 Calumet Ave. HAMMOND, IN from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM with Fr. Martin J. Dobrzynski officiating. Services conclude at the funeral home. Those attending visitation and service are asked to wear masks and to follow social distancing protocol.
