Maryann was a kind, loving spirit who rarely lost her temper and had a most generous heart. A woman of great faith Maryann prayed the rosary every day. She was employed as a Legal Secretary for the City of Hammond for 20 years and retired in 2004. An excellent typist, Maryann could type over 140 words per minute and also worked as a home typist for George C. Patrick. A gifted artist who knew no boundaries when it came to the medium, Maryann would paint in oil, watercolors and pastels. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. A talented seamstress, Maryann sewed all the girls' clothing and especially enjoyed creating holiday outfits, often making a matching dress for herself. Her fingers not only held brushes, sewing and knitting needles to create but also found a home at the piano to fill the world with music. Lending her artistic touch to crafting, Maryann enjoyed creating Christmas crafts, especially Santas and her angels. Maryann simply loved angels and filled her home with them. Above all Maryann cherished the time spent with her loving family. Maryann and Big Jim were family oriented. When the kids were younger they would take the family camping for two weeks every year, from Niagara Falls, to Tennessee, Wisconsin and all over the Midwest. Our loving mother, doting grandmother, dear sister and good friend will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
