Max M. Moser

age 88, of Hammond, IN, formerly of Galatia, IL, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, July 3, 2023. Max is survived by his son, Steven Moser; son-in-law, Brady McMillion; grandchildren: Lisa (Jake) Miller and Amy (Tom) Helmuth; great-grandchildren, Noah, Jenna, Emily, Olivia and Mason; sister-in-law, Donna (late, Henry) Barnes. Preceded by his beloved wife, Shirley (nee Holt), daughter Sheila K. McMillion, sister, Shirley Moser; and in-laws,  Bill (still living, Charlotte) Holt and Betty (late, Donald) Purnell.

Max retired from General American Transportation (GATX East Chicago, IN). He was the former president of the Izaak Walton League. In his free time, Max enjoyed watching old IndyCar, stock car racing, and fishing.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 7109 Calumet Ave., HAMMOND, IN. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM with Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Cemetery in Hammond, IN.
