Maxine Zajac

age 71, formally of Calumet City, IL, of Warsaw, IN,  passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Maxine is survived by granddaughter, Tonya Rosolowski (Cristian Garcia); great-grandchildren, Elliot Garcia Rosolowski and Evan Garcia Rosolowski; sister, Anna (Barry) Hurt; brother, Timmy (Jean) Matczak; nieces, Anna Visak, Christina Castro, and Maria; and five great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Geralt Matczak and Theresa Lamp (nee Kusz); daughter, Kathleen Rosolowski-Tatkus; sister, Mary; grandson, Jason Rosolowski.

Maxine devoted her time to family, treasuring the time spent with her great-grandchildren and creating unforgettable memories. Her thoughtful nature showed in how she planned family holidays months in advance, making each celebration special for those she loved. Her dedication to creating beautiful memories for her family was matched only by her generous spirit.

She gave freely of herself, never expecting anything in return, and was always there when anyone needed her.

Maxine adored being a social butterfly and could talk to anyone and everyone about anything. She enjoyed church in the morning and dining out, always bringing joy and warmth to every outing.

Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her, but her legacy of love, selflessness, and devotion to family will live on through the generations she cherished so dearly.
