Media "Baby" M. Ducret, age 40, of Fort Wayne and formerly of Whiting, IN passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Beloved daughter of Media Ramos-Madera and the late William Ducret, Jr.; Loving mother of Riley Munoz 26, Ayrion Bojara(Gianna) 22, Josiah Martinez 13, Ricardo Hernandez 9, and Media "mamas" Ducret 6. Devoted sister of Late William Ducret formerly of Highland, Yolanda San Miguel 40, of Highland, Corinna (Erick) Maggi 38, of Munster , Danielle Ducret 37, Of Kentucky, Meagan Ducret 34, of Highland, and Bridget Pembroke 22, Of Texas formerly of IL.  Proud grandmother of Leilani Bojara 5 months. Granddaughter of Thomas (Late Dixie) Musgrove and late William and Carmen Ducret, fond niece, aunt, cousin, honorable Navy veteran and friend to many.

Media grew up in Whiting Indiana. She is a alumni of Whiting High School.  Growing up she was involved in softball, NWI Choir, girl scouts, with a special love of dance. She was a member of the Hammond Track Club and won multiple medals at the Junior Olympics. After high school, Media joined the United States Navy. She graduated basic training at Great Lakes Naval Academy. She was stationed in San Diego, CA aboard the USS Higgins as a electricians mate.  She served her County and traveled the world. She chose to come home to her family after 4 years of service and was honorably discharged. Media was a feisty, loud, bubbly, bold woman. She was not only beautiful, but she was the center of attention, caring, smart and strong. She was courageous, and a kind mother who loved her kids and everyone very much. She is reunited with her brother and many loved ones in heaven, pain free, and at peace. She is truly loved and will forever be missed.

Family and friends are invited to join the family for Memorial Visitation (respecting social distancing requirements) on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 from 5-8pm at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue Schererville, Indiana.  A Memorial Service will take place at 7:00 PM with Pastor Paul Valle of the New Life Christian Church of Whiting officiating.   *A full Military funeral will be held at a later date.
