Michael F. Maggio

Age 67, of Schererville, IN, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. He is survived by his brothers, Randy (Mary) Brown and Frank (Lisa) Maggio. Also surviving Michael are his loving nieces, nephew, cousins and many loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Lucia Maggio.

Michael was a 1974 graduate of T.F. North High School. He continued his academic journey at Lakeland College and earned his bachelor's degree in 1979. During his time in college, Michael's passion for football shone brightly as he dedicated himself to the sport, playing all four years and excelling on the field. He found immense pleasure in sports, namely football and softball and his passion for sports extended into his active participation in fantasy football leagues.

Michael was a dedicated laborer with the Local 5 Union in Illinois. Outside of work, he was a frequent visitor to the casino, where he enjoyed the thrill of games of chance. He leaves behind many cherished memories that will forever be held dear by his family and friends.
