Michael "Mike" S. Pupa

age 65, of Calumet City, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2024. He is survived by his dear wife and soulmate, Debra; step-daughters, Christina (Mike) and Haley; step-grandchildren, Jackson and Jordan; siblings, Barbara Flanagan, Elizabeth (Stan) Chester and Paul Pupa. He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sophie (Paciorek) Pupa.

Mike worked diligently for 45 years with local #136 Machinery Movers and Riggers. He loved the outdoors and hiking, enjoying the nature around him. He also found joy in his motorcycles and traveling around on them, especially on vet runs. He loved to garden with his wife Debra, sometimes taking over her garden. Mike enjoyed dancing and spending time with his musical family, always cherishing the time spent with them. He also enjoyed tinkering with things, so much so that he was referred to as "Inspector Gadget".

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave. Schererville, IN. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 PM with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Services conclude at the funeral home.
