Michael Rotheker

age 77, of Valparaiso, IN passed away on Wednesday, January 19,2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia Rotheker (nee Ostapchuk); children; Michael (Christine) Rotheker, Mark (Regina) Rotheker, Matthew Rotheker and Melissa (Mike)Rotheker; grandchildren; Ashley, Aidan, Sarah, Emily, Felix, Ibrahim, Layla, Zayn and Isaac; great grandchildren; Trenton and Adryahna; brother, John (Nancy) Rotheker; nieces, Amber Scheidler, Jonda Rotheker and Teena (Jack) Schimmel; nephew William Scheidler; and great niece, Justine Rotheker. Preceded in death by parents, Felix and Theresa Rotheker; sisters, Maria Scheidler and Erna (late, Tom) Campbell.

Michael grew up in Hammond and graduated from Hammond High School. Michael owned and operated Longe Optical with his family. He loved listening to music and playing the guitar. He will be dearly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN 46375. A visitation will be held on Wednesday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Family request that mask be worn at funeral home.
