Michael "Bongo" V. Lube

age 60, of Skokie, IL, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 2, 2023. He is survived by his children: Michael "Mikey" S. (Ashley) Lube, April (Kenny) Jones, and Amber Lube; partner and love of 15 years, Trina Lane; mother, Sandra Romero (nee Zeinert); grandchildren: Allison, Trae, Alana, Emma, Eli, Lucy, Kendall, Ranger, and Cash; siblings: Warren (Patty) Lube, Christopher Lube, Darren (Tina) Lube, Cynthia (James) Wright, and Kari Lube; step brothers and sisters, Christine (Jon) Mossman, Annette (Neal) Nayman, Doreen (Kim) Mosley, Bonnie (Anthony) Feledy, Dave (Veronica) Romero, Steve Romero; precious felines, Suling,  Sylvester, and Rudy. Preceded in death by his father, Michael Warren Lube, and dear daughter Ashley Hawthorne.

Bongo had a gift for fixing anything, even other peoples' screwups. He enjoyed his job working in construction. Bongo was known for saying "You know a little about a lot, but I know a lot about a little."

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Service Celebrating Bongo's Life will be held at 7:00 PM with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Services conclude at the funeral home.
