Nancy Jane Roberts

age 50, of the Hammond and Hobart Area, passed away April 11, 2016 at the Golden Living Center of Valparaiso after a long, hard battle with cancer. She was born September 21, 1965 at St. Catherine Hospital to James Silas Roberts Jr. and the late Doris Judy Roberts. She is survived by son Mark John Roberts; brother Norman James (Michele) Roberts Sr.; nephew Norman James Roberts Jr.

Nancy was a graduate of T.F. North High School in Calumet City and also attended Ivy Tech College in East Chicago, majoring in Auto Mechanics. Before becoming ill, she worked for Glass City Inc. in Gary as a sales counter clerk and secretary. Nancy loved life, cats, dogs and fishing. Along with many functions for the American Veterans and going to concerts with her best friend Angie Bagwell.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy ave Schererville, IN. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM with Chaplain Bill Moxey officiating.
