Nick Lee Vlasich

Age 82, of Munster, IN passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ann (Macenski); parents, Nichola and Phyllis (nee Kalvaites) Vlasich; sisters, Beverly Fox and Dorothy Pulleyblank. Survived by sons, Nick C. (Roxann) Vlasich of South Bend, Michael Vlasich of Munster, Linda (Randy) Mohrs of Munster; precious grandchildren, Matthew Vlasich, Logan, and Adam Mohrs, and Isabella and Lanna Vlasich.

"One Eye Nick" was a 1959 graduate of Hammond High School and then completed his apprenticeship in the Trade of Electrician. He was a member of IBEW Local 697 for 62 years and worked for Sargent Electric for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, online gamer and Hungarian Vizsla whisperer. Nick enjoyed playing trivia at the Optimist Club of Hammond and was loved by all who knew him.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kenndy Ave., Schererville, IN 46324. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 28, 2023, DIRECTLY at St. Michael Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 7035 Columbia Ave, Hammond, IN 46324. Nick will lie-in-state from 9:30 AM until time of service. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
