Noel Wigsmoen, age 72, of Hammond, Indiana, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Noel was a proud graduate of Calumet High School, Class of 1972. A talented drummer from Gary, Indiana, he played in several bands throughout the years and had a true passion for music. Noel also loved spending his Sundays on the golf course, enjoying the game he cherished so much.

In addition to music and golf, Noel had a gift in the kitchen. He loved to cook and was always experimenting with new foods and flavors. Noel had a wonderful sense of humor, a warm personality, and a striking handsome head of hair that was hard to forget. He was a natural problem-solver who loved to troubleshoot and fix things, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Noel is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Brenda Wigsmoen; loving children, Angela (Rudy) Grasha, Steven (Amy) Wigsmoen, and Aaron (Brittney) Wigsmoen; precious grandchildren, Catherine, Casandra, Julianna, Ryan, Audrey, Regan, and Claire; precious great-grandchild, Blossom. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Wigsmoen and Patricia Wigsmoen (Llorente); dear sister, Denise Beehn.

Noel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His laughter, love, and larger-than-life personality will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
