Olga Wasylowsky (nee Terpilo)

At the amazing age of 104, of Hammond, Olga passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 22, 2026.

Olga was a devoted member of St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church and was formerly a member of the St. Josaphat Sisterhood. She took pride in her Ukrainian heritage and enjoyed making traditional pierogies at the church to share with family and friends. Olga also had a love for gardening and flowers and found joy in caring for the beauty that grew around her. Throughout her life, she worked at Jr. Toy and Simmons, as well as at The Gathering Restaurant.

Olga is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Barrell; precious granddaughter, Alice Wasylowsky; loving nieces and nephew; and dear friends, the Krysa family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Stefan Wasylowsky; her son, Steve (the late, Rose) Wasylowsky; and her sister and her brothers in the Ukraine.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN 46375 with Parastas at 6:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, directly at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church in Munster, IN with Rev. Oleh Kryvokulsky and Rev. Volodymr Kushnir officiating. Burial to follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Hammond, IN.
