OLIVIA GLORIA GARCIA nee NAVARRO
age 63, of Hammond, passed away Monday March 24, 2014. Olivia is survived by her loving husband of 35 years Alberto; children: Sally (Mike) Skowronski, Amanda (Kyle) McTague and Greg (Jeny) Garcia; grandchildren: Alexis, Gyzelle, Jozlyn, Gregory Jr., Omar, Zoey, Violet and Vivian; siblings David (Ina) Navarro and Theresa (Rudy) Rodriguez; numerous nieces and nephews; beloved cats Blondie and Cleo. Preceded in death by her parents David and Catherine Navarro, dear grandmother Eluteria Lopez, siblings: Al, Bob, and Gilbert Navarro; Sally Lisle.
Olivia was a dedicated employee of Hammond Clinic for 42 years and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had a smile that lit up the world. Donations in her honor may be made to the Humane Society Calumet Area or Treasured Friends.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday March 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY at St. John Bosco Catholic Church 7113 Columbia Ave with Fr. Stanley Dominik officiating. Olivia will lie in state at the church from 9:30 AM until time of service. At rest Ridgelawn Cemetery Gary. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday March 27, 2014 from 4:00-9:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville.
