Orlando W. Garcia

age 70, of East Chicago, IN, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.  Orlando is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia Garcia ( nee Gonzalez); son, Orlando E. (Kesha Henry) Garcia; daughters, Corinna Garcia and Erin (Angela) Bautista; dear grandchildren, Diego Bautista, Nayeli Garcia, Sabriah Garcia, Sebastian Garcia; sister, Lisa (Andy) Kusek; brother, Julio (Juanita) Garcia; precious grand pups "Princess, Enzo, Mylo, and Onyx". He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelina R. Garcia and Julio Garcia.

Orlando was a 1971 graduate from Bishop Noll Institute and went on to study at Indiana University in Bloomington. Orlando was a retired Pipefitter/Welder for the Inland Steel Company with 36 ½ years of dedicated service.   He was an avid sports fan watching the Chicago White Sox, Bears, Blackhawks, and Bulls. Orlando loved his war movies and documentaries. He loved to listen to music; his favorite music genre was the oldies. He always enjoyed his vacations with his family. He will be dearly missed and cherished.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at St. Stanislaus Church, 808 W 150th St, East Chicago, IN 46312 with Msgr. John J. Siekierski officiating. Orlando will lie in state at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Solan Pruzin Funeral Home has been entrusted with services.
