Patricia L. Poczatek (nee Gilson)

Age 75, of Schererville, IN passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023. Patricia was born November 21, 1947 in Hammond, IN to Robert and Florence Gilson. She was married to John P. Poczatek and they had just celebrated their 56 ^th wedding anniversary on April 8. She worked at Mercantile National Bank for several years. Patricia is survived by her loving husband, John of Schererville, IN; children, Darrin Poczatek of Lowell, IN and Jennifer (John) Samyn of Overland Park, KS; precious grandchildren: Nick, Jacob, Joe, Toni, Tanner, and Bella; siblings: Jim (Erin) Gilson of Crown Point, IN, Kathryn (Dan) Sytsma of Wheatfield, IN, Karen (Victor) Garcia of Whiting, IN, and Cheryl Hughes of Culver, IN; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Laura Delarbe and Roberta Johnson; and nephews, Kevin Delarbe and Aaron Mitchell.

A visitation will be held at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond, IN.
