Pearl Sherman "Babe"

age 84, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Pearl is survived by her daughter Theresa "Tracy" (late Frank) Boilek; grandchildren: James Boilek, Autumn (Michael ) Wiesch, Shauna (Robert) Burns, Lisa Ramsey and Ronald Ramsey; great grandchildren: Aiden and Mason Wiesch, Claire and Owen Burns, Evan and Roger Anda. Preceded in death by her husband Gene Sherman Sr., children: Venice Sherman, David Sherman, Gene Sherman Jr. and Dale Sherman; grandson Robert Ramsey.

Babe was the loving daughter of John and Theresa White.  A long time resident of Calumet City, Babe spent her working life on the Cal City strip, was manager of several bars and proprietor of two. Babe had a kind spirit and generous heart. She would care for and help those in need. She had a fondness for animals especially cats and loved to feed the birds.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home 7109 Calumet Ave Hammond, IN. Babe will be laid to rest privately. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
