Pedro Flores, Jr.
Age 23, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 23, 2024. He is survived by his loving parents, Pedro and Karina Flores; sisters, Ava Victoria Flores and Norma Gabriela Flores; paternal grandmother, Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez; maternal grandparents, Victor Manuel Garza and Maria Del Carmen Garza; aunts, Olga Lidia (Luis) Trujillo, Cristina (Juan) Carbajal; uncle, Victor Alberto (Maritsa) Garza; and cousins, Frida Sofia (Rio) Montez, Diego Trujillo, Isabella Trujillo, Maria de Jesus Carbajal, Juan Manuel Carbajal, and Bella Victoria Garza. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Arnulfo Flores and his aunt, Maria de la Luz Flores. His furry brother and precious pet, Rusty Flores.
Pedro attended St. Stanislaus from Pre-K - 8th grade. He was an altar server from 2nd grade – 8th grade and was guided by Monsignor John J. Siekierski. He was raised in the catholic faith and his favorite saint was St. Jude. He played soccer & basketball from 5th grade – 8th grade. #FalconPride
Pedro attended Bishop Noll Institute and graduated in 2019. He played football in 9th grade and soccer from 10th grade – 12th grade. He won the soccer State Championship in 2019. #Warriors #38
Pedro attended Purdue University Northwest and graduated in 2023, with a Bachelor of Arts: Communications. He worked at WJOB as a camera man & producer and was also 2nd Assistant Manager at Menards.
Pedro was the best son, big brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend anyone could ask for. He was respectful, loving, compassionate, driven, and supportive. He enjoyed playing video games and listening to sports news and ESPN. He loved music, dancing, and was always singing.
He adored spending quality time with his family and friends and traveling with his love, Tati. He was a fan of: Club America, Selección Mexicana, Chicago Fire, Messi, Neymar, and Chicago Bulls. He loved to shoot hoops and go to the movies, especially to watch action movies. He was a "sneakerhead" and his favorite music was rap, corridos tumbados, Peso Pluma, Anuel AA, and Reggaeton.
Pedro's dream was to become a sports commentator. He had the most contagious laugh and was kind hearted and passionate. He had a spirited soul and always helped others, as well as brought joy & inspiration to those around him. We will always carry his memory in our hearts.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 31 DIRECTLY at St. John Bosco Church, 7113 Columbia Ave., Hammond, IN with Fr. Jeffrey D. Burton officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Burial to follow at St. John St. Joseph Cemetery.
