Rafael "Ralph" Ramirez
Rafael "Ralph" Ramirez, age 57, of Highland, IN passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly; son Rafael, Jr., daughter Veronica (Matt) Howe, and step-daughter Allison (Jon) Bonansinga; grandsons Roman Howe and Calvin Bonansinga; parents, Francisco and Josefina Ramirez; brothers Jose and Frank (Lisa); sisters Martha (Peter) Sandoval, Susan, and Grace (Raul) Aguayo; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ralph was employed by ArcelorMittal as a crane machinist for 36 years. He was an avid Blackhawks and Bulls fan, and enjoyed playing golf, ballroom dancing and vacationing in Mexico. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his generosity, patience and thoughtfulness.
Honoring Ralph's wishes, friends and family are invited to a casual celebration of his life on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Langel's Restaurant, 2833 Highway Ave., Highland, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Lung Association or the Lung Cancer Research Foundation.
