Ramon Lozano

age 90, of Highland, formerly of South Chicago was called by the Lord on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. Ramon is survived by his loving wife Nora, dear children, Martina (Sam) Sanmiguel, Bernadette Garibay, Joel (Juanita Lara) Archuleta and Gail (Daniel) Galich; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, 2 sisters and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Octaviano and Juanita Lozano and four brothers.

Ramon was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in South Chicago, later joining Our Lady of Grace Church in Highland. He retired with 68 years of service from EJE Railroad. He was born in Jalisco Mexico and moved to the United States when he was 18 years old. Ramon enjoyed sheet metal working and whelding and could often be found creating lawn ornaments and specialty Christmas decorations. He will be deeply missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 3025 Highway Ave. Highland, IN with Rev. Brian Chadwick officiating.  Ramon will lie in state from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL. Solanpruzinfuneralhome.com
