Ramonita Torres (nee Igartua)

Age 75, of Orlando, FL formerly of East Chicago, IN was called by the Lord on Sunday, December 10, 2023.  She is survived by her loving children; Thalia Torres, Eddie Jr. Torres, and Mario Torres; precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Maria Dolores (Jesus), Luis Igartua (Lisa), Francisca Igartua, Ruth Igartua and Anibal Igartua; nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.  Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Baudilio Torres; parents, Agustin and Cruz Igartua; siblings, Gloria Thompson, Agustin Igartua II, Maria Esther Bodnar, and Israel Igartua; grandparents, Maria Dolores Igartua, Justo De La Paz, and Francisca Concepcion De La Paz; grandchild, Eddie Torres III.

She had a zest for life that was infectious. She loved to laugh, to dance, and to celebrate. She had a knack for finding joy in the simplest of things and taught us to do the same. Her laughter was contagious, and her smile could light up a room. She taught us the importance of embracing life's joys and finding happiness in the little things.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home,  14 Kennedy Avenue., Schererville, IN  46375.  A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 18, 2023 at the funeral home.
