Raymond K. Frueh
Age 90, of Hammond, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017. Ray is survived by his children: Katina (Tommy Jones) Gornick, Marlene (Jim) Provenzano, John (Joellen) Klut Jr., Darlene (Larry) Pruitt, Robert (Michele) Klut, Brian (Carolyn) Klut and Sheryl (Jason). Papa Ray is also survived by way too many grandchildren and great grandchildren to count. Brother Buck (Joan) Frueh; nephew Billy (Jackie) Bryk; many more nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his wife of 37 years Georgetta, his grandson Gino Angotti and sister Dorothy (late Jerry) Bryzinski.
Ray was a hardworking man who always provided for his family. He was "mean as hell but had a heart of gold". That heart of gold was apparent when he fell in love with Georgetta and bought her a home, which changed the course of seven children's lives. Ray worked for Wisconsin Steel for 13 years and later as a Security Guard at various places. He loved Bingo and was just recently able to cross the last two items off of his bucket list.
