Regina M. Kirincic (nee Gualandi)

of Highland, formerly of East Chicago, IN, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the age of 67. She was born on February 2, 1959, to the late Gene and Betty (nee Street) Gualandi.

Regina, who will be deeply missed, was a devoted wife of 48 years to Joe Kirincic and a loving mother to Christopher Kirincic, Amanda (Jeremy) Steffey, and Nicole (Jesse) Herrera. She is also survived by her sisters, Tina (Darrell) Paymaster, Laura (late Allen) Greathouse, and Juanita Gualandi; her grandchildren Lilah Kirincic and Roman Herrera; and her nephew Kavan Gualandi. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Gene and Betty Gualandi; and her brother Ernie Gualandi.

Regina will be remembered for her dedication, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. A proud ’77 graduate from Roosevelt High School in East Chicago; she went on to earn her associate’s degree from St. Joseph’s College in Whiting. Regina devoted 15 years of service as an Administrative Assistant at Franciscan Hospital. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially her love for Fannie Mae chocolates, time spent with her grandchildren, and her years as an avid bowler. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Calumet Hospice in her memory.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Services conclude at the funeral home.
