Richard J. Taillon, Sr.

age 84, of Whiting, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023. He is survived by his children: Dawn (Matthew) Taillon-Clark, Richard (Claudia) Taillon II, Scott M. Taillon, and Christopher P. (jenny) Taillon; grandchildren: Tricia (Eric) Martinez, Isabel Taillon, and Benjamin Taillon; great-grandson, River Martinez; and brother, James P. (late, Linda) Taillon. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Darlene (nee Midkiff); parents, Bernard F.Taillon, Sr. and Catherine Taillon (nee Theobald); and siblings: Catherine (George) Coorough, Shirley (Robert) Doll-Delehanty, Bernard F. (Fran) Taillon, Jr., and Edward H. (Mary Ann) Taillon.

Richard was a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute. He worked for Bailey Controls as an electronic technician and was also a blackjack dealer with the Horseshoe Casino.He enjoyed gardening, golfing, and in his later years picked up a love of cooking. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted father and grandfather.

A private service was held for Richard. Services entrusted to Solan Pruzin Funeral Home.
