Robert “Bob” R. Pelletier

Age 72, of Highland, Indiana, formerly of Hammond, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Debora Lorraine Pelletier (nee Blake); children: Randy Pelletier and William (I-Shan) Pelletier, Kimberly Dashel, Kent Dashel, Michelle Berry and Christopher (Amber) Luna; 12 precious grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Rachelle (late, William) Prosk, Terri (Michael) Liesenfelt; dear friends, Steve Berry and Mark Rolland; along with several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by parents: Philippe Pelletier and Lucille Y. Pelletier (nee Gagnon); first wife, Sharon Marie Pelletier; 2 brothers, Joseph P. Pelletier, and Marcel L. Pelletier.

Bob grew up on the south side of Chicago and was a proud graduate of Mendel High School, Class of 1972. He began his career at U.S. Steel Works and later dedicated many years of service to the United States Postal Service before retiring from the Park Forest Post Office.

Known as a true jack-of-all-trades, Bob could fix about anything. He possessed a strong work ethic, a wealth of practical knowledge, and a willingness to help others. Much of what he knew, he learned from his father, whose influence remained with him throughout his life. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed reading and was always eager to learn something new.

Bob was a proud Chicago sports fan who rarely missed a game. He could often be found watching and cheering on his beloved Chicago Bears and Chicago Blackhawks. Whether celebrating a victory or standing by his teams through challenging seasons, his loyalty and enthusiasm never wavered.

Bob will be remembered for his hardworking nature, quiet wisdom, and devotion to his family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Solan- Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, Indiana 46375. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life Celebrated at 7:30 PM. Services will conclude at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s honor to the family.
