Robert A. Byrd "Andy"

Age 65, of Hammond, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Maria "Inday"; children: Jean Byrd, Dereck Byrd, and Amber Byrd; grandchildren, Cole and Josie; siblings, Donna (Victor) Roderick and Tom (Donna) Byrd. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert C. and Lois Byrd.

Andy was a 1977 graduate of Morton High School. He was a Veteran of the US Army and spent time in Korea, Germany, and Egypt. He worked at NAPA Auto Parts, Franciscan Hospital, and Walmart. In his spare time, Andy enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.

A Service Celebrating Robert's Life will be held at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
