Robert "Bob" C. Shofroth, Jr.

age 64, of Schererville, passed away surrounded by his cherished family on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Bob is survived by his best friend, love of his life, and wife of almost 46 years, Pamela (nee Carter); five adoring daughters: Christine (Joshua) Archer, Michelle (James) Masterson, Linda (Daniel) Sepper, Melanie (Jeffrey) Marksteiner, and Melissa (Andrew) Dunn; seven precious grandchildren: Jeremy, Abigail, Carolyn, Hailey, James Robert, Aubrey, and Jackson; sister Jackie Rickert; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents: Robert Sr. and Ruth Shofroth; and brother Daniel Shofroth.

Bob was a 1976 graduate of Hammond Baptist. He had a loyal and strong work ethic, staying with the same company, Columbia Pipe, for over 37 years. He was competitive and loved sports, especially the White Sox. Bob enjoyed coaching Little League and football where he would instill his life lessons into those he coached. He also enjoyed traveling. Above all else, Bob was a devoted and dedicated family man. He loved his family beyond words and doted on the fact that everyone had remained close. He adored the time he spent with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. Bob was the voice of reason when his family needed advice, and was truly a rock to his family. He would like to remembered as a loving, hardworking, honest, and God-fearing person.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 12 at the funeral home, with Pastor Phil Humber officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of service. Services conclude at the funeral home.
