Robert E. Gestring

age 58, of Munster, IN, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 6, 2021. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Jeannie Ring; daughter, Laura Gestring; son, Justin (Beckie) Gestring; Jessica Ring (Dan Hatten); Ryan (Corrine) Ring; grandchildren, Davaghn Whiting, Shawn Stickels; Pieper Gestring, Zander Gestring;  siblings, Tom (Debbie) Gestring, Ken (Corina) Gestring, and Sherry Payne. Preceded in death by his parents, Eugene J. Gestring and Sarah L. Gestring.

Robert was an Indiana resident for 24 years and enjoyed golfing, cooking, and gardening. He served in the Air Force as active duty as well as the reserves. Robert never knew a stranger and was a faithful casino employee for 24 years. Robert loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed as a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and Mason. "Always make a good first impression, then stay true to it."

A Memorial Service commemorating Robert's life will be held at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM service.
