Robert "Bob" H. Anderson

Age 83, of Alsip/ Dolton, IL formerly of Blue Island passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2022. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Sue Anderson; dear children, Laura (Rocco) Castallante and Amy (fiancé, James Denison) Anderson; 8 precious grandchildren, Mark, Michael, Dana, Daniel, Anthony, Wyatt, Ryder and Myles; siblings, Edward (late, Gertrude) Anderson, Donald (late, Claire) Anderson, and Nancy (late, Rex) Fiedler; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Eva Anderson; siblings, Elizabeth (late, Phillip) Scuderi, William (still living, Catherine) Anderson, Henry (late, Charlette) Anderson, and Patricia (late, Leonard) Cantell.

Bob retired with almost 40 years of service from Xerox. He also worked at roller rinks and at A-1 Stove Company as a repair man. He loved video games, roller-skating, his coffee and science fiction. He was passionate about flying airplanes and enjoyed photography (particularly of nature). Every night he looked forward to ordering food for his late night munchies, and washing it down with an ice cold beer.

A visitation will be held at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Avenue, Schererville, IN on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service Celebrating Bob's Life will be held that Saturday at 12:00 noon by the Moose Lodge of Schererville, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
