Robert C. Newcomb

Robert C. Newcomb, age 77, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. Robert is survived by his loving children, Michelle (Steve Perry) Newcomb and Thomas Newcomb; grandchildren, Stevie Newcomb-Perry and Thomas Newcomb; siblings, Michael Newcomb and Pamela Crider; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. and Margaret Newcomb; grandchildren, Micky Newcomb-Perry and Geoffrey Newcomb; and siblings: Judy Mills, JoAnn Echelbarger, and Margaret Kirk.

Robert served his country with honor in the Army, demonstrating bravery and dedication to his fellow soldiers. His mechanical prowess was unmatched, as he had a knack for fixing anything and everything that came his way. Music was a passion of Robert's, and he found solace and joy in crafting reel-to-reel recordings. Later in life, he cherished moments of solitude, finding contentment in his own company, reflecting on a life well-lived and memories cherished.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, April 8, 2024 DIRECTLY at Elmwood Cemetery, 1413 169th St, Hammond, IN. Services entrusted to Solan Pruzin Funeral Home.
