Robert L. Scott

Age 71, of Hammond, IN, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sandy (nee Kotlowski); children, Becky (Mario) Montelongo, Danny  Raschke, Michael Raschke, Michelle McClore and Glenda Fox; 12 precious grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Glenda Richards, Fred (Nancy) Scott, Harold (Linda) Scott and Jeannette Scott; sisters in law, Cheri Fowler and Tuseday Welch. Preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ester Scott; and sister, Annie Marie Cole.

Robert worked at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond for 30 years. His quiet strength and unwavering commitment to his work were felt by all who knew him. Taking pride in his work and honoring the history and memories that Elmwood Cemetery  holds. He was an avid outdoorsman, who found joy and solace in nature, particularly in his love for hunting.  Robert was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.

A Visitation will be held on  Friday, December 27, 2024 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., Schererville, IN.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday Night at 7:30 PM. Services conclude at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery  in Hammond, IN.
