RONALD NORMAN FISCH SR.

age 77, of Highland, passed away Monday March 3, 2014. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Gail (nee Logue); children: Debra (John) Devine, Deanna (John) Boykin, Ronald N. (Janet) Fisch Jr., Glen A. (Sandra) Fisch and Timothy (Jessica) Fisch; 13 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother LaVern (Martha) Fisch; four nieces and two nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Ethel and Norman, great grandson Zander Ross.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 6, 2014 at 12:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave (corner of Main and Kennedy) Schererville with Rev. Peter Irvine officiating. Cremation to follow service. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Harbor Light Hospice and/or the Alzheimer's Association.

Ron proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from Republic Steel after 30 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Ron belonged to the Highland American Legion and was a lifetime member of the Highland VFW 1109.
