Ronald J. Mattson

age 64, of Harvey, IL, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Sheila Mattson(nee O'Malley); daughters Sharon Mattson and Ronda Mattson; grandchildren Dylan, Kylie, and Octavio; and brother Norm Jr. (Terri) Mattson. Preceded in death by his parents Violet and Norm Sr. Mattson; and brothers Charlie F.  and Mel Mattson.

Ronald played basketball and won a medal in the 1989 Olympics. He worked construction and in his free time enjoyed playing softball, bowling with his wife, and playing bags.

A visitation with family will be held on Saturday December 5, 2020 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home , 14 Kennedy Ave. Schererville, IN 46375. Those attending visitation are required to wear masks and to follow social distancing protocol. SolanPruzinfuneralhome.com
