Rosemary Hardy (Garcia)

age 65, of Valparaiso, formerly of Hobart, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016. Rosemary is survived by her children Patrice (fiancé Dan Frazier) Salus and Charles Hardy; grandchildren: Marrissa (Travis), Joseph, Jonathen, Olliveia, Daniel and Sierra; siblings: Dee (late Leonard) Tucker, Judy (late Frank "Poncho") Barragan, Esther (late Patrick) Flanagan and Robert Garcia; godchildren: Angela Vazquez, Tara Platusic, Michael Flangan and Kelly Flanagan.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years Alvin Hardy, parents Beatrice and Joseph Garcia.

Rosemary was a loving wife, a caring mother, proud grandmother and loving sister. She was a strong, fiercely independent woman with a wonderful laugh and a beautiful smile. Rosemary enjoyed crafts and enjoyed sewing and quilting. Camping was her life, she just loved to spend time down at Broken Arrow Campground. Our mother always spoke her mind and her kind heart and generous nature will be missed.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory 14 Kennedy Ave Schererville. Prayers and memories will be shared at 7:30 PM. Cremation at Solan Pruzin to follow.
