Ruby P. "Butch" Huggins (nee Smith)

age 77, of Hammond, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Ruby is survived by her loving daughters, Wanda (Greg) Spradlin, Penny Perez, and Rose Marie (Robert) Watson; sons, Bill (Annie Carey) McFarland and Kadin McFarland; nine grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Preceded by her husband Bill McFarland.

Ruby was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church in Gary, IN and in her spare time she enjoyed taking care of her grandkids. Ruby had a lot of friends and everyone who knew her, loved her.

A visitation will be held on Friday January 8, 2021 from 11:00 AM till 1:00PM at Black Oak Baptist Church , 6502 W 25th Ave, Gary, IN 46406. A Service will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bob Parnell officiating.  Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
